Subject: [Msoadm] DOS Codes Revised for Overload Teaching and Summer Session Supervision of Instruction

Dear Colleagues,

Revised DOS codes <http://academicpersonnel.ucr.edu/policies/BYA%20DOS%20Codes%20Academic%20Personnel%20Activities%20FINAL3-10.pdf> related to academic activities are now available on the Academic Personnel Website at:

http://academicpersonnel.ucr.edu/policies/BYA%20DOS%20Codes%20Academic%20Personnel%20Activities%20FINAL3-10.pdf

The revisions include:

1. Implementation of a request by Office of the President to use DOS code OLS for overload teaching by Academic Senate Faculty. This is the second DOS code change for this activity during the 2009-2010 year. If you had an Academic Senate Faculty member teaching on overload status during winter quarter and were using DOS code BYA as instructed, we ask that you use BYA for the entire Winter Quarter. The DOS code OLS should be used for this activity beginning Spring Quarter, 2010.

2. Academic Senate Faculty who serve as 'Instructor of Record' while supervising TAs in Summer Sessions but who do not actually perform any instruction should be coded BYA, beginning with the upcoming Summer Sessions courses.

If you have questions regarding these changes, please contact Karen Hruby at Karen.Hruby at ucr.edu

Thank you.
