RE:     Benefit Rates Table (R  7/09)

The following benefit rates have changed effective with July 2009
earnings. Old rates are in parenthesis.  Percentage based benefits are
calculated based on the monthly gross payroll.

 

1. Workers Compensation Insurance 

    All Funds - 0.99% (1.15%) - decrease of 13.92 percent

 

2. Unemployment Insurance 

    Federal Funds - 0.18% (0.18%) - same

    Other Funds - 0.18% (0.18%) - same

 

3. Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) - formerly Annuitant Health
Insurance 

    All Funds - 3.12% (3.09%) - increase of 1 percent

 

4. Benefits Administration Assessment 

    All Funds - 0.16% (0.16%) - same

 

5. Staff Recognition & Development Award Program (SRDP) for
non-represented employees

    All Funds - 0.89% (0.89%) - same 

 

6. The following are assessed outside of the Payroll Expenditure
Distribution process and charged to your general ledger:

 

a. General Liability (Location 5) - 0.7140% (0.7782%) - decrease of 8
percent

b. General Liability (Location N) - 0.4900% (0.1200%) - increase of
308.3 percent

c. Employment Practices (Location 5) - 0.1734% (0.2080%) - decrease of
16.6 percent

d. Employment Practices (Location N) - 0.0600% (0.0800%) - decrease of
25 percent

 

7.  Graduate Remission Programs

 

a.    Graduate Student health Insurance (GSHIP) with Admin fee/QTR -
$603.00 ($593.00) - increase of 2 percent

b.    Graduate Student Fee Remission (GSFR) - Residents per QTR -
$2912.00 ($2,662.00) - increase of 9 percent

c.     Graduate Student Fee Remission (GSFR) - Non-Residents per QTR -
$3,026.00 ($2,766.00) - increase of 9 percent

d.    Graduate Student Fee Remission -AGSM per QTR - $2,574.00
($2,356.00) - increase of 9 percent
