updating PPS to gabe.nwandu at ucr.edu.

The information below was recently distributed to UCRFS users regarding
the impact the change has on running reports and the granting of access
to UCR applications.

Thank you

Subject: [UCRFS_users] Data Access and Organizational Structure Changes

Dear UCRFS Users,

Due to the recent campus re-design/re-organization and planning for the
new fiscal year budget, the Activity Golden Tree has been updated to
reflect to the new reporting structure. With the overlap of
transactional processing between the old fiscal year (FY2009) and the
new fiscal year (FY2010), these organizational structure changes require
minor modifications to the way information is selected in the various
data warehouses and reports.

If your department reporting lines recently changed, the following
suggestion will ensure the retrieval of the complete budget and
financial information from UCRFS Totals and Super DOPE. For FY2009 and
multiple fiscal year comparisons, select both the old and the new
organizational codes before drilling down to the division, department
and/or activity codes. For FY2010 data, it is only necessary to select
the new organizational codes. Please note: for enhanced response time
in the query applications, best practice recommends using the
hierarchical structure of the Golden Trees when selecting any FAU
values.

All other reports, such as the pre-run Financial Transaction Detail
Report, UCRFS ad hoc reports, Accountability Structure, Encumbrance
Helper, and Ledger Reconciliation & Storage System reports, are
available and/or organized using the new organizational structures.

These organizational changes should not have any impact on existing
access to UCR applications.

Questions regarding changes to the Activity Golden Tree can be directed
to your Organizational CFAO or Cindy Williams (cindy.williams at ucr.edu)
in Resource Planning & Budget. All other questions and concerns should
be direct to upgradehelp at ucr.edu.

Sincerely,

Bobbi McCracken
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Financial Services
