[Poscgrad] compassionate care accommodations extended to fall

Dear All,

The university has extended the compassionate care accommodations to fall
quarter (see attached).

The compassionate care clause modality changes (from in-person to fully
remote) extends to instructors and instructional support staff who either:

   1.

   Live with unvaccinated children under the age of 5 who do not attend
   in-person school or daycare
   2.

   Are immunocompromised themselves or live with one or more
   immunocompromised individuals.

If you are serving as a teaching assistant or Associate In and would like
to request an accommodation for fall quarter, you should reach out to me to
request the accommodation. For TA's, I make the final approval and notify
the registrar. For Associate-Ins, I review the request and seek approval
from the Dean's office (who then alerts the registrar). It is very
important to follow the official process since we need to make sure that
the course modality reflects how the course is listed in Banner.

Please note, the accommodation only covers the given quarter.
