Dear CITL Members,

As part of continuous improvement, the ITS Network Operations team is
pleased to announce the deployment of a new ServiceLink request form for
firewall requests
<https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=3a991fd
f1b1a1cd0609f86e9cd4bcb58> .

Having a specific firewall form simplifies the firewall request process for
our customers, and provides the ability for the Network team to report and
gather statistics on all firewall requests. The new form will ensure the
timely completion of firewall requests by gathering all necessary
information at the inception of the request. A change request can also be
generated directly from within the form, streamlining the process and
allowing for quicker implementation. The new form will also provide
transparency for each firewall request within ServiceLink, providing ITS
with more meaningful data.

In order to submit a firewall request, please perform the following steps:

1. Browse to <https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal>
ithelp.ucr.edu

2. From the navigation menu select "Make a Request" (ensure you are
logged in via CAS)

3. Select "Network & Internet Services" from the Categories section

4. Select "Firewall Change Request"

5. Fill out the form as prompted and submit
