[CITL] Notice of October Drupal Release

[UCR Information Technology Solutions]

Dear CITL Members, 

 

Please be informed that the Web Solutions team plans to deploy this month’s
Drupal build on Saturday, October 17, 2020. All campus website owners have
been made aware of the changes, which include: 

 

Enhancements

1.       UCR Rebranding Phase 2 Group 3

·         Updated colors and fonts for the following custom blocks:

o   Accordions

o   Button Bar – New brand blue color option

o   Info Card

o   Statistics Grid

o   Teaser Callout

o   Dynamic Columns

2.       Resolved Hybrid theme accessibility issues to improve SiteImprove
score

·         Hidden “Skip to main content” link (accessible only when tab key
is pressed). Also made available to default theme.

·         Fixed the use of aria-labels and aria-labelled by across the
hybrid template

·         Adjusted color contrast of “A-Z listing
” links on top header

·         Removed unnecessary role attributes on HTML5 landmarks

3.       New Collections module (File Categorization)

·         A new module that lets you create a Collection Group and organize
existing and new files into different categories. A Views page will be
created per Collection Group that lets you sort these files by category.
Disabled by default.

 

Bug Fixes

1.       INC0123285 - Missing layout column images in Layout Builder have
been found and re-implemented.

2.       INC0125018 – CNAS hero video not full width on large screen
resolutions (2k and above). Fix also applied to default and hybrid themes.

3.       INC0125485 – Fixed blurring issue on Localist Events widget when
using the “Card UCR Version” template.

4.       INC0124907 – First level Unordered lists in Accordions custom block
all changed to open discs. It should follow the following default hierarchy
after this release:

·         Drupal Default Unordered List 

§  Item 1

§  Item 2

§  Item 3

·         Subitem 

 

The Acquia Test environment has been updated with the October build. Site
owners are asked to review and test sites to ensure everything is working
correctly. The build is scheduled to go into production from 6AM to 12PM on
