UCR Healthy Campus supports UCR students, faculty, and staff who are working, learning, and living remotely by encouraging the campus community to Eat Fresh, Move More and Live Kind. We are excited to share three new additions to the UCR Healthy Campus website.<https://healthycampus.ucr.edu/>
Live Kind
Kindness is powerful and can have a significant impact on your life as well as others. Allowing yourself to live kind can help you build a new relationship and improve your well-being. Research shows that kindness has many benefits - increasing happiness and energy while decreasing stress. Visit the LiveKind website<https://healthycampus.ucr.edu/sub-committees/culture-change/live-kind> and take the LiveKind pledge, participate in the LiveKind challenge, and view tips and resources to bring kindness to your life.
In partnership with Staff Assembly, we are encouraging you all to participate in the LiveKind Challenge<https://healthycampus.ucr.edu/sub-committees/culture-change/live-kind#take_the_30day_live_kind_challenge> from November 1 - 30, 2020. The more kindness acts you complete, the greater your chances are of earning one of 10 raffle prizes. Be sure to submit your completed challenge card to healthycampus at ucr.edu<mailto:healthycampus at ucr.edu>.
Eat Fresh
The Health Eating and Nutrition subcommittee has created healthy cooking/meal preparation videos that showcase meals you can make that are inexpensive, healthy, and easy. Each video is accompanied by recipe and nutrition information (where available). Try out some of these recipes<https://healthycampus.ucr.edu/sub-committees/healthy-eating-nutrition/healthy-eatingnutrition-subcommittee-healthy-cooking-and-recipes>! We are looking to add more recipes to our collection. If you have a recipe or video you would like to share, please send them to healthycampus at ucr.edu<mailto:healthycampus at ucr.edu>.
More More
Move More<https://hr.ucr.edu/about-us/workplace-health-wellness/wellness/wellness-program-and-activities/move-more> For 3 to 4 is an awareness messaging campaign sponsored by the UCR Faculty and Staff Wellness Program<https://hr.ucr.edu/about-us/workplace-health-wellness/wellness>, Healthy Campus<https://healthycampus.ucr.edu/>, Ergonomics Program<https://hr.ucr.edu/about-us/workplace-health-wellness/ergonomics>, The Well<https://well.ucr.edu/> and UCR Recreation<https://recreation.ucr.edu/>. The goal of the campaign is to increase movement/activity throughout the day to promote better health, reduce ergonomic risks, and create a positive healthy culture change. Request a training session, view stretch break videos, print and download posters, and enjoy tips to move more anywhere, anytime.
