[Vcsa-announcements] Highlander Information Booths

Good Morning,

Student Life would like to ask for your assistance with this year's 2009 Highlander Information booths (formerly called the LOST Stations). This is a chance for you to assist UCR students (mostly new students, but from time-to-time, even a senior may not know how to find a certain building.) find where they need to go for class, answer any other UCR-related questions that we can, AND strongly encourage them to participate in Highlander Welcome events. In addition, this would be a great way to meet other UCR staff and some amazing student volunteers.  We will also once again be hosting an inter-location competition for the best question asked; last year's winner "Where is the nearest pay phone?"

We'll be tabling at three locations (Campus Store, Hinderaker and Sproul/Lot 30 Courtyard-where the Pit Stop usually is) on the following dates/times:

o        Thursday 9/24: from 6:30 am to 5 pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)

o        Friday 9/25: from 6:30 am to 2 pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)

o        Monday 9/28: from 6:30 am to 5 pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)

o        Tuesday 9/29: from 6:30 am to 5 pm (inclusive of setup/cleanup)

If you are interested in assisting us, please email Scott Silverman scotts at ucr.edu directly with the days/times you'd like to help out. 

Please respond back as soon as possible to aid in scheduling assignments for the 2009 Highlander Information Booths.
