Parents Just Don't Understand!

A lot of students have to deal with their parents expecting them to do well
in school, have a great future, marry the right person, etc. MY dad wants me
to be an adult, but he won't let me out whenever I go home to visit, so how
am I supposed to be independent??? How about you?

We all know how it feels to have overbearing parents. But...how do we deal
with this? How do we get them to understand who we are and what we want?
But even if you are not Asian or Pacific Islander, your parents may have
expectations for you as well, so come and share your stories with us.

So, come to Costo 244, the Asian Pacific Student Programs office, to discuss
these issue with students who share your experiences. Counselors from the
Counseling Center will be facilitating the discussion.

Dinner will be provided.
