The November release is complete and UCPath is now available with the new capabilities shown below. Please clear your browser’s cache before logging into UCPath.
1. Automate Security Deprovisioning (Inter-Location)
This project automated the deprovisioning of security access during employee transfers, preventing concurrent access to old and new locations. It enhanced security, streamlined the provisioning process and ensured a consistent transfer experience for employees.
Changes:
* New E-134 automatically removes security access when an employee transfers between locations
* Ensures employees do not have access to both old and new locations simultaneously
* Improves overall security by preventing unauthorized access
* Simplifies and accelerates the security provisioning process
* Provides a seamless experience for employees during transfers
1. Direct Entry Enhancements
The Manage Human Resources project introduced an approval workflow for direct entries, added action/reason functionality for rehires and concurrent hires and incorporated systematic validations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
The Manage Human Resources tile includes three sub-tiles:
* Create Employee: Used to add a new employee to the UCPath system
* Create Contingent Worker: Used to add a non-employee worker, such as a contractor, to the UCPath system
* Organizational Relationship: Used to add a new relationship for an existing employee or contingent worker

Important Reminders:
* Smart HR templates are still available
* Rollout of the new Manage Human Resources functionality varies by location
* Hire Pilot functionality was decommissioned beginning November 22 at 5PM
* The 2024 UCPath production processing schedule has a new column highlighting the processing deadline for the Manage Human Resources approvals
* Users who are not provisioned with the new security roles are not able to submit transactions using the Manage Human Resources tiles
* Users with the ULSHR_HR_WFA_INQUIRY role have access to the fluid Person Org Summary page in a view-only capacity
* The Create Employee and Create Contingent Worker tiles are not visible
* The Add Organization Relationship option is disabled, ensuring no transactional access is granted
1. Rewrite GL Assessments - Local
This project consolidated, centralized and streamlined the generation of assessment information. It improved financial reporting, automated manual processes and reduced complexity by separating assessment processes from other GL processes.
1. Applicant Tracking Systems – UCLA Health and UC Campus and Health
UCI Campus and Health, as well as UCLA Health, implemented local Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to integrate with UCPath for processing hires, rehires and select transfer types. This initiative improved hiring efficiency and accuracy by automating duplicative tasks previously performed manually, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing while adhering to UCPath deadlines.
