UC Health - Introducing “UC Vita Health Plans” and Accolade

Effective January 1, 2023, the health navigator Accolade will be an integrated part of the UC Care, UC Health Savings Plan (HSP) and CORE plans, replacing Anthem Health Guide and offering more services to members.  During the week of September 12, 2022, the first communications will be sent introducing Accolade.

These communications will also feature the new “UC Vita Health Plans” branding, created by UC Health, as an umbrella term that encompasses UC Care, UC Health Savings Plan, CORE and UC Blue & Gold HMO (the non-Kaiser employee plans). The new labeling highlights a renewed focus on the member experience supported through innovations like the Accolade Health Care Advocate.

Two announcements will be issued:
(1)  The attached Accolade introductory postcard from UC Health for all UC Care, HSP and CORE plan members is scheduled to be mailed around September 14, 2022.  It gives a quick introduction to Accolade and includes the new UC Vita Health Plans branding.

(2)  The enclosed electronic message from Anthem will be transmitted to registered UC Care, HSP and CORE plan members with email address on file on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, as a way to present the Accolade services and explain the rationale behind the new UC Vita brand.  Participants will receive this email before the postcard arrives.
