WEX – Dependent Care FSA Accounts on Hold
The WEX “blackout period” shared in previous communications<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm656/files/2021-07/wex-correction-to-mid-year-confirmation-statement-and-blackout-period-extension-to-6.15.2021.pdf> has been lifted. However, WEX has advised UCOP that it was discovered WageWorks did not upload the correct member records for the Dependent Care 2020 Plan Year. As a result, the available balance posted into individual accounts earlier this week is not accurate; WEX has placed a hold on participant accounts as of July 16, 2021.

A replacement file has been received from WageWorks and once verified, the file will be uploaded to the WEX system. In the meantime, a message about the temporary hold on the 2020 DepCare accounts will be visible to participants when they log in to the WEX portal.

WEX has assured that there will be a quick turnaround in getting the records updated. Confirmation that all accounts have been corrected and that the hold has been lifted will be issued to all DBRs as soon as it is received from WEX.
