Colleagues,

Please be advised that Secured Device Services (SDS) is transitioning from
Tanium to NinjaOne for our patch management solution. Patch management is
the process of applying updates to software and systems to fix bugs,
enhance security, and improve performance. This change is being implemented
to streamline our patching processes and improve overall system security.
What This Means for You

As a result of this transition, you will notice a change in the graphical
user interface (GUI) for patch management. While the core functionality of
managing and applying patches remains the same, the appearance and
navigation will be different.
Key Changes

New Layout: The reboot notification will be different:

Updated Terminology: Some terms and labels may be different.

Forced reboot: Users will be allowed to defer the reboot up to 3 times
before being forced to reboot after the fourth reminder. Reminder
notifications will pop-up every 4 hours to allow ample time to plan for the
reboot.

No Action Required

No action is required from you at this time. The new system will be
deployed automatically.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance our
IT infrastructure. If you have any questions, please contact BearHelp at
951-827-4848 or submit an IT support ticket at its.ucr.edu/help.

Sincerely,
