Dear School of Medicine Zoom User,

This message is to notify you that the School of Medicine Zoom account will
be consolidated with UCR’s Enterprise Zoom account at 7 PM PDT on Friday,
August 25, 2023.

What can I expect during the consolidation process?

The transition will take place from 7 PM until 8 PM PDT. During this time,
users will be unable to access their Zoom accounts and any in-session calls
may be dropped. After the consolidation, you will log into and use your
Zoom account as normal.

Why is this change taking place?

UCR is in the process of consolidating its platforms to simplify and
streamline the campus user experience, as well as provide cost savings.

Is UCR’s Enterprise Zoom account compliant with SOM needs?

Yes, the Enterprise Zoom account is verified as HIPAA-compliant and is
equipped with features that meet SOM’s healthcare and medical education
needs. Users may continue using Zoom in the same capacity as before. Please
note that EPIC MyChart Video Visit is the primary platform for telehealth.
Zoom is only used for telehealth when Epic’s MyChart Video Visit fails or
when the department is in transition to use MyChart Video Visit.



What action do I need to take?

No action is required on your part. Please continue to login and use Zoom
as normal.
