[IT Notice] Notice: Troubleshooting Info for Users Experiencing Zoom Issues

Hello Loan2Learn Participant, 

 

Recently ITS was made aware of an issue involving users receiving an error
message from Zoom prompting them to update the application. However, when
attempting to update users received a notice stating that, "Automatic update
is disabled for Zoom. Ask your IT administrator for help." 

 

If you are experiencing this issue with Zoom, please follow the below steps
to reinstall the client and resolve the issue: 

1.       In the search box next to the computer's start button, type
"settings" and click the "settings" option

2.       Once the settings window appears, click "Apps"  

3.       Once the apps appear, click on the "Zoom" app and select
"Uninstall" 

4.       Visit https://ucr.zoom.us and sign in with your UCR NetID and
password 

5.       Click on "Resources" in the upper-right and select "Download Zoom
Client" 

6.       Download Zoom Client for Meetings and run the installer 

 

The above steps should resolve your Zoom issue. If you experience problems
that require additional technical support, please submit a ticket in the
service portal <http://ithelp.ucr.edu/> .
