Collaborate ~ Communicate ~ Connect

Please join Research Administrators INC for a showing of SRA International's webinar entitled, "P/U Grants Stink! How to Make the Submission of a Multi-Component Programmatic/Cooperative Grant More Manageable."

With all the moving parts including multiple principal investigators (MPIs), multiple cores, multiple projects, and multiple subawards - all with their own budgets and required documentation, how can a research administrator keep track of all of these while working with their institutional sponsored programs office to ensure a timely and organized submission? This webinar shares strategies on managing multi-component programmatic and/or cooperative grants for successful submission.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn how to organize and condense the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), application instructions, and other resources into one master document for reference. They will also learn how to implement tools to manage a large team of investigators, collaborating institutions, and research administrators to keep everyone on track.

When: Monday, December 16th from Noon - 1:00PM

Where: ZOOM

NOTICE OF DELAY OF AWARDS FOR RECIPIENTS

Dear NASA Grant recipient,

Effective October 1, NASA released updated regulations, policies, terms and conditions (T&Cs), resource documents, and forms to effectuate the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) 2024 revisions to Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR), "OMB Guidance for Federal Financial Assistance." Please be advised these mandatory updates caused delays in the award processing time. NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is working diligently to incorporate all the new and revised policy guidance documents, forms, and resources necessary for award.
Thank you for your patience and your continued support of our NASA missions.

SAVE THE DATE - Forthcoming NASA Grant Policy Video Series

Dear NASA grants community,

As you know, many of NASA's grant and cooperative agreement policies were recently revised, and those revisions became effective for all new and amended awards issued on or after October 1, 2024. These policy revisions were enacted to streamline and simplify policy, adopt Office of Management and Budget (OMB) revisions to Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR<https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-2>), an d ensure NASA's compliance with other statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements. Two major documents were released on October 1 to effectuate new policies and requirements: 1) the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Manual (GCAM<https://www.nasa.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/nasa-grant-and-cooperative-agreement-manual-oct-2024.pdf?emrc=c941eb?emrc=c941eb>) and 2) the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Terms and Conditions (T&Cs). T he GCAM provides grant applicants and recipients with NASA-specific policy and guidance throughout the pre-award, award, post-award, and closeout phases of the grant life cycle. The T&Cs outline general and award-specific requirements that govern NASA's grants and cooperative agreements.

To provide training on the revised GCAM and T&Cs, NASA's Grant Policy and Compliance (GPC) team will be releasing a series of three training videos. The following training episodes will be released in December 2024 on NASA's YouTube Grants Playlist. <https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiuUQ9asub3RBxyZxDrKF57bIqxHGPtPh>

* Episode 1 - Revisions to the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Manual (GCAM)
o Release date - Friday, December 6
o In this episode, NASA will provide an introduction to the GCAM, an overview of major revisions in the 2024 edition, and a discussion of what those revisions mean for applicants and recipients.

* Episode 2 - Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support (CPS) Disclosure Requirements
o Release date - Friday, December 6
o Wondering where to find the new disclosure forms? Not sure which activities are required to be disclosed? Curious about how to make a post-award disclosure? These and other questions will be addressed in a quick tutorial that will provide an overview of new biosketch and CPS disclosure requirements found in the 2024 GCAM.

* Episode 3 - Revisions to the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Terms and Conditions
o Release date - Friday, December 13
o This episode will cover the 2024 revisions to NASA's general and special award terms and conditions. Topics to be discussed include new requirements for grants recipients, the T&C's new and improved format and structure, and incorporation of what was formerly referred to as the Research Terms and Conditions into NASA's general T&C template.

Be sure to mark your calendars!

In the meantime, we encourage you to consider viewing some of the existing grant training videos available on the NASA YouTube Grants Playlist. <https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiuUQ9asub3RBxyZxDrKF57bIqxHGPtPh>
