RE: Academic Student Employees (ASE) Lump Sum Payments
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On June 1, 2011, 132 Academic Student Employees (ASEs) in the BX unit who were inadvertently omitted from the 2% lump sum payments will be paid. The lump sum is for wages paid between October 1, 2010 and January 31, 2011. UC Office of the President had previously issued a program that identified, calculated and paid lump sums to BX employees represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union. Unfortunately, the program did not select everyone that was eligible for this lump-sum payment. With the assistance of the Labor Relations office, these employees have been identified and the lump sums have been scheduled for payment on June 1, 2011.
Miscoding of the Employee Relations Code (ERC) on screen $B!F(BEPER$B!G(B contributed to the omission of these student employees. Please review and correct the ERC to $B!F(BH$B!G(B (student in academic title covered by HEERA) for student employees whose derived primary title codes are:
Associate In - 1501, 1502, 1506, 1507, 1511 and 1512
Reader - 2500, 2850 and 2851
Remedial Tutor - 2280, 2288, 2289 and 2290
Teaching Assistant - 2310 and 2311
Teaching Fellow - 2300 and 2301
Tutor - 2510, 2860 and 2861
