Without breaking your budget, you can hire someone who has been affected by the economy and is out of work. Through the Subsidized Time-limited Employment Program, organizations gain motivated workers without having to pay their hourly wage. S.T.E.P.* is managed by the County of Riverside and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (http://www.recovery.gov/Pages/home.aspx).

One of our Temporary Employee Services vendors, AppleOne, is partnering with the County of Riverside to assist them in providing job opportunities to several thousand former Riverside County TAP (Temporary Assistance Program) employees who are currently unemployed. 

If your department is in need of a temporary employee, this program is perfect for you.  Beginning July 1st, AppleOne will pay a Riverside County TAP employee at the prevailing wage rate based on the job description provided, and you will be able to have a temporary employee work for your department, FREE for up to 60 days!  All employee salary related costs will be paid by AppleOne.
