[pps-news] SX Wage Implementation 10/01/09

Good morning all:

 

The wage implementation for the SX employee group in PPS has been completed as follows: 

 

Effective Date - 10/01/2009

1.	3% across the board (ATB) base building increase for SX unit members (ATB only, no range adjustment)
2.	Transition employees to the new step structures.  

	1.	Step placement is based on full years of qualifying UC service in current title (qualifying service is counted as each month of UC service on pay status for 50% or more time, as of 09/30/2009).
	2.	One step is granted for every two full years of UC qualifying service.  
	3.	Example:  An employee with 6 full years of UC qualifying service in his/her current title would be placed on step 3.0, unless his/her range-adjusted rate exceeded the step rate for Step 3.0.   In those instances, the employee would be placed on the step that reflects the nearest but next highest pay rate.  The transition to the step structure cannot result in a decrease to the pay rate from the range-adjusted rate described in #1 above.

3.       The minimum of each salary range will be at least equal to $12.50/ per hour.  The Title and Pay Plan reflects the new rates.
