TO:       Department Heads, MSOs, and Supervisors

 

FR:       Labor Relations Office

 

RE:       Annual Compensatory Time Off (CTO) Election for RX, TX, CX, SX and
HX Employees

 

The applicable provisions of the bargaining contracts with respect to
compensatory time off (CTO) for the RX, TX, CX, SX and HX units states,
"Unless the employee and the University agree otherwise, overtime will be
paid.  An employee, may upon hire and thereafter during the month of June,
file a written indication of preference for either compensatory time off or
pay with her/his immediate supervisor.  The University shall grant the
preference indicated."  Therefore, please ensure that if employees in these
bargaining units in your department wish to continue the election of
compensatory time off (CTO) for 2005-06, a written indication must be
submitted to the supervisor by each employee eligible for compensatory time
off.
