Dear Professor Pion Berlin and Professor Brookes,

I hope you’re well.  I write to let you know about two exciting
opportunities at Georgetown University and to ask your help in
disseminating information about them.

First, the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown invites applications for
an *Assistant Professor and Provost's Distinguished Faculty Fellow* *in
Environment, Societies, and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean*.
The appointment begins in the Fall of 2025.  *Applicants should be very
recent PhDs (one or two years out).*  Application review will begin on *October

Second, the Georgetown Americas Institute, in tandem with Georgetown's
Center for Latin American Studies, are pleased to offer a *postdoctoral
fellowship* in the Spring 2025 semester in association with their joint
research project on “Democratic Backsliding and Resistance in Latin
America”.  Applications are due on *November 15, 2024*.  Here is the link
