    I hope you’re well.  I write to let you know about two exciting
    opportunities at Georgetown University and to ask your help in
    disseminating information about them. <br>
    <br>
    First, the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown invites
    applications for an <b>Assistant Professor and Provost's
      Distinguished Faculty Fellow</b> <b>in Environment, Societies,
      and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean</b>.  The
    appointment begins in the Fall of 2025.  <u>Applicants should be <i>very
    </i>recent PhDs (one or two years out).</u>  Application review will
    begin on <b>October 21, 2024</b>.  Here is the link to the

    Second, the Georgetown Americas Institute, in tandem with
    Georgetown's Center for Latin American Studies, are pleased to offer
    a <b>postdoctoral fellowship</b> in the Spring 2025 semester in
    association with their joint research project on “Democratic
    Backsliding and Resistance in Latin America”.  Applications are due
    on <b>November 15, 2024</b>.  Here is the link to the Google Doc
