Please join us for this week’s Physics and Astronomy Colloquium featuring
Dr. Misty C. Bentz from Georgia State University. Dr. Bentz will present a
talk titled:

"Comparing Direct Black Hole Mass Measurements in AGN"

Dr. Bentz will discuss the methods used to directly measure black hole
masses in active galactic nuclei (AGN), highlighting results from
reverberation mapping and stellar dynamical modeling. Her work addresses
potential biases in black hole mass scaling and offers new insights into
galaxy evolution across cosmic time.
