[Office-of-research] NIH multiple principal investigator initiative

In late spring 2006, NIH will start piloting the federal-wide policy that
allows for multiple principal investigators (PI) on individual research
awards.  Initially, the multiple PI option will be available on a select
group of requests for applications and program announcements with May-June
2006 receipt dates.  NIH plans to expand the pilot for announcements with
October receipt dates and should be available for most
investigator-initiated grant application mechanisms by January 2007.  To
