Hello Jennifer and team!

I am reaching out to inform you that all campus services using single
sign-on (SSO) will experience a brief scheduled unavailability starting at 10
PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

This essential maintenance is for an upgrade of the campus Central
Authentication Service (CAS). This upgrade is critical to maintaining our
security standards and ensuring the continued functionality of our
multi-factor authentication (Duo) toolset.

What this means for your area:

   -

   During the Upgrade:
   -

      While the maintenance window is broad–10 PM on Saturday, March 7, to
      3 PM on Sunday, March 8–the actual downtime for campus services
is expected
      to last only 15 minutes.
      -

   After the upgrade:
   -

      You may need to clear the browser cache to successfully reestablish
      the single sign-on session.
      -

      Users will see a new, brief progress bar during the Duo redirection
      process.

ITS does not anticipate service disruptions outside of the maintenance
window. However, if your department experiences persistent login issues
after the maintenance, please recommend that users clear their browser
cache or use an incognito window. If issues persist, please contact
BearHelp at its.ucr.edu/help or 951-827-4848.
