[Gradstudents] [REMINDER] SOE Travel and Professional Development Grant - Updates & Training

REMINDER - THIS FRIDAY

Dear SOE Graduate Students,

Based on student feedback, the SOE has updated procedures for the travel and professional development grant which includes prepayment to lessen the financial burden on students, and also increased caps for financial support. Attached you'll find the updated instructions and caps.

To assist in the transition to prepayment, the business operations team will be offering an update and training session via Zoom on Friday, December 1st from 11am to 12pm. RSVP for the training here<https://ucr.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIoduCtqD8tGt2IexC7HGwfEx4inFLgqvon>.

For new students - in addition to the Graduate Student Association<https://gsa.ucr.edu/ctg/>, the SOE offers financial support to students to attend conferences and participate in professional development activities. If you plan to attend a conference or utilize the professional development funds at any point during this academic year, I strongly encourage you to attend the session.
