Any day now, the U.S. Supreme Court is set to deliver its ruling on cases challenging affirmative action and race-conscious admissions: SFFA v. University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC) and SFFA v. Harvard. For over 40 years, the Court has consistently upheld the constitutionality of race-conscious admissions in higher education-a tool to ensure equitable, diverse campuses. That important precedent is now at risk and the stakes for students and our democratic society run high.

As we anticipate the decisions, students like you are not waiting for the fight to come to them. Campus leaders across the nation are gearing up to hold their institutions accountable to their role in maintaining equity and racial diversity on their campus and in higher education more broadly-a national imperative critical to building a thriving, multiracial democracy.

Join a national collective of student activists this Wednesday, June 14th from 5pmEST-6pmEST in a virtual convening as we discuss equitable access to higher education as a civil rights issue, explore the opposition's strategy in the Harvard and University of North Carolina Supreme Court Cases, and share tools to be a change agent on your campus. Speakers will include prominent movement leaders on college campuses, alumni equity champions, and more. Finally,  the convening will serve as a reminder of the powerful role student advocacy can play in changing individual campuses and the course of history.
