[Gradstudents] Introducing Dedoose - Qualitative & Mixed-Methods Software [FREE]

Dear SOE Graduate Students and Faculty,

We are proud to announce that Dedoose is now available and ready to use for free. The qualitative and mixed methods software is cloud-based and can be accessed from a PC or Mac. To take advantage of this opportunity, please see the attached flyer for sign-up instructions (page 2). Sign-up deadline: June 23rd.

If you are new to Dedoose or would like a refresher, expert and alum Dr. Sara Grummert will be hosting a workshop this summer on Zoom. See details below.

Note: if you are using a university device, utilize the portable version. Accounts will remain active until graduation/separation.

This interactive training begins with a basic overview of Dedoose, including some of the advantages of how this cloud-based application can support qualitative and mixed methods research analysis. Topics include:


  *   Overview and Homescreen Orientation
  *   Importing Data
  *   Coding (and coding in teams)
  *   Managing a Codebook
  *   Memoing Data visualization preview

Advanced training - tentatively scheduled in August on Zoom.
