Volunteer Opportunity: SOE Conference Planning Committee Application



We are pleased to inform you that we are in the beginning stages of planning the first SOE Graduate Student Conference that will be held this mid-October 2023. We are accepting applications for volunteers (Masters or PhD) that want to join the Review & Planning Committee. Prior experience is not necessary. This is intended to give us the space to gain experience reviewing abstract submissions, collaborating on creating a conference theme, and conference planning overall (This would also be a great addition to your CV or resume.) This position would require 2-4 hours a week over the summer (vary by week). Most of the work that will be contributed will be remote on zoom. We are planning to meet to workshop a theme June 19-22 and begin reviewing abstracts mid-July to early August.
