Hello,

I hope your Winter quarter is starting off well!

I wanted to alert you to an upcoming opportunity for anyone involved with
GIS.

CalGIS 2026 <https://thegpn.org/page/CalGIS> will be held earlier in the
year and closer to UCR than in recent years: January 20-23 at the Esri
campus in Redlands.

Hosted by Geospatial Professional Network's (formerly known as URISA)
California Chapter, “CalGIS features education and training, and ample
opportunities to build your professional network and find solutions."

“There is no better venue to connect with the California Geospatial
Community than CalGIS! Don't miss workshops and training, keynote
speakers, breakout sessions, networking, and a Solutions Showcase.”

Registration closes January 14.

Note that for $20, students can register for a Student Career & Academic
Fair hosted lunch taking place on Friday, January 23.

Please pass this along to anyone who may be interested.

Best,

*Janet Reyes*
