Greetings, EM Staff,

Please help me outreach the following STEM positions, including 6 within
our EM staff area.  If you manage a pdl for your staff area in the areas
listed below, please share with a cc to me. I will be the contact for EM,
Talitha Derksen for EP.

Region 5 Forest Service Ecosystem Management (EM) and Ecosystem Planning
(EP) staffs are outreaching several STEM positions, including permanent job
opportunities  in both staff areas and the new Pacific Planning Service
Group (PPSG). All positions will be in the 401 job series at the grade
level indicated. Duty station may be either Vallejo, CA with telework
option or remote/virtual duty station as negotiated.  The EM positions
include:

   - *Post Fire Recovery Program Manager (GS-13), *
   - *Regional Botanist (GS-12/13), *
   - *Consultation Biologist (GS-12/13), *
   - *Regional Carnivore Monitoring Program Leader (GS-12), *
   - *Regional Wildlife Ecologist (GS-13) and *
   - *Regional Ecologist. *

The Region 5 EM staff provides oversight to regional natural resource
programs including wildlife, ecology, hydrology, soil, fisheries and
aquatics, botany, threatened and endangered species, minerals and geology,
timber sales, silviculture, and sustainable operations. The Region 5 EP
staff is responsible for environmental compliance, FOIA, and forest and
project planning. The PPSG is one of three inter-regional Planning Service
Groups in the Forest Service Planning Service Organization that will manage
and complete the tasks related to the land management plan revision process
for forests and grasslands under the direction of the forest/grassland
supervisors and regional foresters. The PPSG will serve Regions 5, 6, and
10, which include National Forests in California, Oregon, Washington, and
Alaska.
