Cash for College Workshop
Right about now, you may be wondering how you and your parent(s) will pay for your college/university education. There are several ways to pay for college including monetary gifts, personal savings, part-time jobs, and financial aid. Most students will need some financial aid to get through college. To help you with your financial planning, the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites you and your parent(s) to attend a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)/ Cash for College Workshop. During this workshop, you and your parent(s) will gain knowledge about financial aid, how it can help you pay for college expenses, and receive assistance with completing the FAFSA. In addition, high school seniors who attend the workshop and complete the Exit Survey will be eligible to win a $1,000.00 scholarship from the California Student Aid Commission.

M.E.Ch.A. Alumni Association Scholarship
M.E.Ch.A. Alumni Association has established a scholarship fund to recognize the academic and community achievement of students who promote Chicanismo.

Chicanismo is a concept that integrates self-awareness with cultural identity, a necessary step in developing political consciousness. Therefore the term-Chicano is grounded in a philosophy, not a nationality. Chicanismo does not exclude anyone, rather it includes those who acknowledge and work toward the betterment of La Raza.
