Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year!

I am pleased to announce that we have hired two new staff members to our department.  We would like to welcome Liliana Juarez as our new Contract and Grant Analyst 2 and Caroline Benitez as our new Dept Chair Assistant.  They both will be starting this Wednesday, January 10th.

Liliana Juarez previously worked at the Riverside County and has over 4 years of Contract & Grant Administration experience.  She brings strong administrative support, fiscal management, exceptional customer service, experience in contracts and analytical skills to Botany.  We are quite excited to have her join our Analyst team!

Caroline Benitez has over 7 years of administrative experience and previously served as a Chair's Assistant for the Department of Physics at Cal Poly Pomona.  She is familiar with working in a campus environment, assisting faculty & students, event planning, course scheduling, completing travel arrangements and a variety of ad hoc items within a department.  She has a positive attitude, and we are excited to have her join the department.

Due to our building renovations still on-going, Liliana Juarez will be housed in the Genomics building with our other department analysts until we move everyone back.  As for Caroline Benitez she will reside in Batchelor Hall room 2118.
