[Corebotanyfaculty] Faculty meeting with Dean Uhrich Monday April 10

Hi all,
We won’t have a faculty meeting next Monday, as it is the first day of the quarter and the start of the program review.
We are scheduled to meet with Dean Uhrich on Monday April 10.  I’m attaching a draft CNAS Academic Plan that the Dean will be asking us for feedback on.  She sent this out to all faculty in January.  I present it without comment.

To facilitate getting your feedback, I would like to collect comments in advance of the meeting. I realize some of you may be reluctant to speak up in the meeting, although I encourage you all to do so.  As another mechanism to collect feedback, you can submit comments here: https://forms.gle/7qf3V9LKtQqMSfnu6   and I will summarize them. The form asks for names so that I can keep track of who is responding, but I can convey them anonymously in the meeting if needed.  I think we will also be asked to provide a written dept. response after the meeting.

In other news, the deadline for submitting our academic plan/position requests has been extended to May 15, so we have a bit more time. As we discussed at our last faculty meeting, it would be great if everyone can look at this document and make comments.  I’m also attaching our position requests from last year.  We are searching for the first position on the list. We will need to decide if we

I will work on pulling together some data on faculty citations, rankings, funding, etc.  I have much of this already.
