*Update on Federal Research Funding*

The memo

*Mileage Reimbursement Rate: G-28 Revised *

UC Policy G-28: Travel Regulations has been updated to reflect the *increased
mileage reimbursement rates* for personal vehicles used for business travel
or relocation, per IRS Notice 2025-5. The new mileage reimbursement rates

We want to hear from you! The *Annual Travel Survey 2024* is now live and

*NYC Congestion Fee Now in Effect *

As of *January 5*, New York City has introduced a congestion fee of $9 or
more for vehicles entering local streets and avenues at or below 60th
Street during peak hours. This new regulation affects cars, trucks, taxis,
and rideshares, with fees varying according to vehicle size, the day of the
week, and the time of day. While UC offers competitive contracts with
Hertz, National, Enterprise, Dollar, and Thrifty, please note that taxes
and fees, including this congestion fee, are not eligible for reductions or
waivers. We encourage travelers to *review all costs* when renting

*Payroll Certifications Relaunching Soon! *

The *payroll certifications process* will be relaunching soon! As the
system deploys and certifications begin, coordinators are encouraged to
work closely with their faculty to keep them informed and guide them to the
