[CITL] Notice: Upcoming Migration Will Affect ODS Database Connections

Dear CITL colleagues,
This email is to inform you of an upcoming data migration event affecting ODS database connections. The migration event will begin Tuesday, January 19, and conclude on Wednesday, January 20. During this time systems that make direct connections to the database may experience service disruption. Additional details are provided below.
As you may know, ITS has been working with UCOP and UCPath teams to prepare for migration from the daily UCPath DDODS data files to the new Reporting Instance (RI) data files. In the coming weeks, ITS will be conducting a cut-over in the test environment and then in the production environment to support this effort.
The changes necessary to support this effort primarily affect systems and users who make direct connections to UCR's local ODS database. ITS has identified those systems and users. The list of systems is included below.
TEST CUT-OVER
The changes necessary to support this effort primarily affect systems and users who make direct connections to UCR's local ODS database (Test=PTODS, Prod=PPODS).
Between Tuesday, January 19th and Wednesday, January 20th, ITS will conduct the cut-over in the TEST environment from the current DDODS test database (PTODS) to a new RI test database. During this time, the systems listed below may experience an interruption, appear to be unresponsive, or have missing data from UCPath. This is expected due to changes to database connections. Interruptions and downtime to test systems will be minimized as much as possible.
PROD CUT-OVER
Planning is also underway for conducting this migration in Production at the end of February. A notice will be sent out again as that date gets closer.

SYSTEMS AFFECTED DURING CUT-OVERS
Test and Production systems that make a direct connection to the ODS database:
HRMS, HRDW, TARS, One-Time Payment Tool, Payroll Journaling, SuperDOPE, Current and Future Funding Report, UCRFS, PIWRS, FAU Change Tool
