[CITL] Notice of Upcoming Maintenance to MyAccount

[UCR Information Technology Solutions]

Dear CITL Members, 

 

ITS would like to notify you of upcoming maintenance to MyAccount scheduled
for Friday, October 9, from 10:00pm to 12:00am. During this window the
MyAccount service will be intermittently unavailable. Please advise your
units accordingly.  

 

This planned maintenance will enhance business value by increasing UI
functionality and allowing UCR international students to register their
devices without assistance from BearHelp.  It will also enhance password
security by prohibiting users from using an existing password value when
setting a new password. The list of changes addressed in this release
include: 

.         Allowing users with international phone numbers to register an MFA
device

.         Adding labels to the Change Password dialog to indicate allowed
characters

.         Sending user activity email notifications to both the user's UCR
and personal email accounts

.         Restricting users from setting a new password to the current one

.         Adding a label to the Security Questions answers page to indicate
allowed characters

.         Converting the helpful section of the Password Reset page to a KB
article link with step-by-step instructions 

.         Displaying hardware tokens to users that have them in DUO

.         Allowing BearHelp staff to clear/set the LDAP MFA flag
