Is Your Fall Registration Complete?

Fall quarter is around the quarter. The Fall term officially begins on Monday, September 25, but the first day of class/instruction is not till Thursday, September 28.

If you are not enrolled in at least 12 units, please work on adjusting your schedule accordingly. Registration is now reopened as 2nd pass enrollment began this past Monday on September 11.

If you are having difficulty, please reach out to me (Victor Moreira) or your academic advisor as soon as possible. You need to be in at least 12 units to be have full-time status. Not having full-time status may result in your financial aid not disbursing on time! For now, the best way to get a hold of me if you want to meet is via email at victor.moreira at ucr.edu<mailto:victor.moreira at ucr.edu>.

Please also note that a waitlisted course does not count as an enrolled course and ARC 035 is a non-unit bearing course. So, for example, if you are enrolled in two four-unit courses and ARC 035, you will need to add another 4-unit course to reach full-time status.

How Waitlists Work 101

When one or more components of a course is full (lecture, lab, discussion, etc.), the department offering said course may decide to create a waitlist that students can add to should they want to attempt to enroll in the course. Not all courses have waitlists, however. You can easily determine if a course (lecture, lab, discussion, etc.) has a waitlist by viewing the enrollment status on R'Web.

If you are on a waitlist and do get into the course, you will receive an automatic email that will allow for you to enroll in all the components of said course (lecture, lab, discussion, etc.). Upon receiving the email, you have 24 hours to enroll in said course. No exceptions are made! The automatic email notifications can potentially come at all hours of the day including weekends and holidays. If you are waitlisted for one or more courses, make sure to check your UCR email multiple times per day.

Waitlisting for a course does not guarantee that you will eventually make it into the course. Having backup options is critical. If you have any questions, please reach out to your academic advisor or myself (victor.moreira at ucr.edu<mailto:victor.moreira at ucr.edu>).

Are Your Fees Paid?

The deadline to pay for your fees is Friday, September 22, 2023.

If you have any questions or concerns, make sure to contact Financial Aid as soon as possible. Failure to pay for fees by this date will more than likely result in you being dropped from all the courses you're registered for. There is no guarantee that you will be able to re-register into the courses you were enrolled in previously in the event that you get dropped.
