CSP Events & Programs
Chicano Student Programs Orientation Week
Chicano Student Programs (CSP) first started in 1972 on the second floor of UCR’s Rivera Library, adjacent to the “El Centro” meeting room, across the hall from the Chicano Studies Department and the offices of EOP/SAA Support Services. As the population of Chicano/a/x Latino/a/x students continued to grow, CSP after moving through many spaces found its current home at 145 Costo Hall, which offers a community space for students to gain valuable resources, find opportunities to gain leadership skills through outreach and organizing, and to empower students social, cultural, and academic success. The Chicano Link Peer Mentor Program is coordinated and run by CSP staff, and we are so excited that you have been accepted into the program!
To start off our Welcome to the CSP Familia, we will be hosting our New Student Orientation throughout October 9th-12th! Come meet other students, dance, and enjoy free food!

LULAC Annual Community Health Fair - Oct. 7th
Invitation from the non-profit LULAC - The League of United Latin American Citizens, also known as LULAC, is the largest and oldest Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States. LULAC Council 3190 in Riverside is on a mission to empower the Hispanic community. The organization focuses on civil rights advocacy, economic improvement, education, political influence, and healthcare access. Our impactful initiatives include free health fairs, student scholarships, voter registration drives, low-income housing development, youth leadership programs, and more.
We are having our 11th Free Annual Community Health Fair on October 07, 2023. This event is open to students, their family members and everyone in the Inland Empire. Since this involves the community, we want to spread the word. I have linked the flyer below.
