[Ying-announcements] Lab Meeting Follow Up

Hello everyone,

Just following up on all that was discussed in our lab meeting today.

*Reading assignment* - From Ibram X. Kendi's, "How to be an Anti-racist" we
decided to read the Intro through Ch. 5 for next week and we will discuss
the reading during our lab meeting on Wednesday. Claudia has some
discussion questions that I will send in a follow up email.

*BLM Drunk History Videos* - As discussed, here are a few interesting Drunk
History videos centered on important historical Black rights issues. These
are not required, but Sam urges us to check them out if we have a moment.

*Solidarity/Diversity Statement *- Sam linked us all into the ENSC
departments statement regarding diversity and inclusion at UCR. We should
all take a look at that and think about if we would rather post that
statement on our main lab website page, or if we'd like to write our own?
