Dear Wellness Program Participants:
   I am excited to invite you to an upcoming Walk and Talk event with Assoicate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer Matt Gunkel! This event is designed to combine the benefits of movement with meaningful conversations and networking opportunities.

Matthew Gunkel is the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at the University of California, Riverside. He is responsible for overseeing strategic priorities, collaborative partnerships, and strengthening Information Technology Solutions, including security, networking, teaching and learning, enterprise applications, and support services.

Previously, Matthew served as Chief Online Learning and Technology Officer at the University of Missouri, where he led the digital vision, educational technology, learning analytics, and online roadmap for Missouri Online, enrolling over 9,000 annually. He also developed a system-wide plan for digital learning, improved classroom infrastructure, negotiated technology contracts saving $1.2 million, and raised U.S. News and World Report rankings through data alignment and improved service metrics. Matthew earned a Master’s degree in Information Science from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from Purdue University.
