Dear Wellness Program Participants:
The Well and I are excited to invite you to a unique and health-focused event that combines two fantastic elements: Peanut Butter and Jogging/Walking!
Event Details:
Date: Every Wednesday
Time: 9:00 am
Duration: 60 minutes
Location: The Well / HUB 248

Here's what you can expect:

  * Jogging/Walking Session: Lace up your sneakers or walking shoes for a refreshing and invigorating jog/walk! Whether you're a seasoned runner, a walker, or just starting your fitness journey, this event welcomes all levels. We'll have a guided jogging and walking session tailored to different paces, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably.
  * Peanut Butter Delights: Following the jog/walk, indulge in a spread of peanut butter goodness and fruit!
  * Community and Fun: Connect with fellow fitness enthusiasts and peanut butter lovers in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Share tips, stories, and experiences while enjoying the positive energy of like-minded individuals. This event is not just about fitness; it's about fostering a sense of community, promoting healthy habits, and having a great time.

In addition, individuals who participate in the Peanut Butter & Jogging/Walking are eligible to be sponsored to join a running or walking team composed of 5 individuals. If you participate 1 time or participate every week, PB&J participants can be eligible to be sponsored. The sponsorship component is simple. The Well will cover the $135 team fee. Currently, the Well only sponsor teams, no individual sponsorships are available. The next 5k is scheduled for April/May, I will communicate the details as I receive them.
The 5k starts at the Rivera Library Lawn, where an open ceremony and warm-ups are held. These are non-competitive 5ks; thus, folks can engage at their own pace. The event organizers provide free parking. Participants who are sponsored would meet the day of the event about 30 minutes prior to the start of the event to check in and get their bibs. Once the race is concluded individual and group prizes are awarded at the end as the race typically includes a time-keeper component. Please see the course map by clicking on the link below:
