New year, new goals! It is the perfect time to increase your physical activity to reach your goals and stay healthy during the winter season. Studies have shown that regular exercise can improve one’s immune system and overall well-being.

If you currently do not have an exercise routine and aren’t sure how to get started, take it slow. Begin by breaking up your exercise sessions and start with two 15 minute increments a day and work up to meeting a goal of 30 minutes. Consider keeping an exercise log to track your progress and highlight the times you meet your goals. UCR’s Go! Program<https://well.ucr.edu/programs/go> can help log all of your physical activity and steps accumulated throughout your day!

Use motivating music to keep your pace. Most of all, keep it fun!

The Student Recreation Center<https://recreation.ucr.edu/> offers space for the UCR community to get active! They offer free-virtual classes and options to stretch and take a break during your work/school day for non-members! View the Winter 2022 Schedule attached to the email.
