500 Years of Chicano History

Dr. Jesus “Chuy” Negrete is the founder and director of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Chicago and is dedicated to the preservation and encouragement of Mexican American folkways and family values through cultural and educational programming. The event will feature a rich history told through the singing of corridos.

Comedy Show—Raising Dollars for Scholars

Co-sponsored by Raza Assembly & PODER

Join us for a night of fun and laughter in support of a great cause. Proceeds will go towards scholarships for undocumented students at UCR and to support our 24th Annual Chicano/Latino Youth Conference. Tickets will be $5 at the Bienvenida or $7 per student at the door and $15 for the community.
