The National Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) is the college recruitment program for The National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). It is a mentoring program for undergraduate students wishing to explore and better understand the field of student affairs and/or higher education.

There are currently over 150 NUFP Interns at over 100 Universities throughout the country. At UC Riverside, we are looking to host up to 3 students to participate in this program.

UC Riverside’s NUFP interns have shadowed staff members and administrators, assisted and implemented community service projects, coordinated retention programs, and worked with various student organizations and offices on campus. They have served as representatives for their campus and gained ample experience in student affairs.

The mission of the NUFP program is to increase the number underrepresented populations in student affairs and higher education. This would include underrepresented minorities, persons with disabilities, women, and persons who identify themselves as LGBT. For NUFP admission and application requirements please visit http://naspa.org/programs/nufp/app.cfm

The NUFP program gives participants the opportunity to attend student affairs conferences, participate in volunteer and paid internships, and learn from current Student Affairs Administrators.

UC Riverside is now accepting applications of UC Riverside students who would like to be sponsored for this experience. Completed NUFP applications are due Friday, April 15th to the AVC/Dean of Students Office, HUB 381. A selection committee will review these applications and choose 3 applications to forward to NASPA and to sponsor for this experience as a UC Riverside NUFP Intern. Please note that the UCR deadline is earlier than the National NUFP Deadline so that the committee can choose applications to sponsor for this experience.
