You are invited to attend an Allies seminar this quarter!

Friday, October 23, 1:00pm to 4:00pm @ HUB 268
or
Thursday, November 6, 9:00am to 10:30pm @ HUB 265
AND Tuesday, November 10, 9:00am to 10:30pm @ HUB 265
[2-part training, you must attend both sessions to become an Ally]

Any student, faculty, or staff interested in joining the Allies Safe  
Zone program should attend an Allies seminar. Allies is a network of  
UCR students, faculty, and staff who are supportive of lesbian, gay,  
bisexual, transgender people, and of anyone dealing with sexual  
orientation or gender identity issues.

Potential Allies members will learn about LGBT issues, receive  
resources and referral info, interact with a panel of LGBT students,  
and discuss issues of heterosexism and privilege. After attending the  
seminar, participants may choose to sign a contract promising to be a  
safe space, and they receive an Allies placard sign to hang outside  
their office or residence hall room.
