[Vcsa-announcements] Volunteer for the Highlander Lost Stations

During the first few days of classes, students might be wandering through campus a little lost and confused, especially with new buildings, new landmarks, and construction fences. To help ease these first few days, Student Life is hosting the Highlander Lost Stations, four strategically-located booths at which students can stop by ask for assistance, receive a campus map, and look up their class location.  

 

We are seeking volunteers who can answer questions like: "Where is Watkins?", "What is TAPs and where can I pick up my parking permit?", "Dude, where is my class?" or "Where is the best place to get coffee?"  If you can answer any of these questions please consider volunteering a few hours of your time at one of the Lost stations. We will have materials so you feel ready to answer questions, and a competition between stations for the priceless question (to find out more you have to volunteer).

 

We have four booths for two volunteers at all times, from 6:30am to 4:30pm.

The time slots we're looking to fill are for the first Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday of classes, 9/25, 9/26, 9/29, and 9/30. On the day of Block Party, we'll be closing the stations early.

 

Time blocks are:

6:30-8:30 am

8:30-10:30 am

10:30 am -12:30 pm

12:30-2:30 pm

2:30-4:30 pm
