Generator Microsoft Word 11 (filtered medium) Dear VCSA Colleagues,
Most of you are aware of the re-organization that took place last year between our division and VCA -- specifically the transition of Housing Services from VCSA to VCA. Because the Technology Services budget has been significantly impacted by this reorganization, it will be necessary for us to temporarily suspend our desktop support service.
Until further notice, VCSA Technology Services will no longer be able to accept any new service requests for desktop support. We will complete any existing desktop service requests that are currently in progress and we will also continue to support all existing and future thin client users.
C&C provides the campus with desktop support services that are available to all UCR staff and faculty.
C&C' s Help Desk procedure:
Call x23555 -- a Help Desk analyst will ask for your name, department and the nature of the request. Please have your hardware, operating system and description of problem ready. A support technician will return your call to assist you by phone or if needed, make an on-site appointment If on-site appointment is made, an FAU number will be requested by the technician or Help Desk analyst Your call will remain open until it is resolved to your satisfaction. Once the call is completed the technician will close the call.
For more information, please send an email to helpdesk at ucr.edu or visit the C&C Help Desktop website at http://cnc.ucr.edu/index.php?content=general_services/help_desk.
