Dear Colleagues,

At a recent directors' meeting, a request was made for some training or 
other access to the student web site, GROWL. For those of you who 
aren't familiar with GROWL, it is the student link to our student 
information system where students complete primary administrative tasks 
such as accepting financial aid awards, reviewing their bill, enrolling 
in courses, etc.

I am delighted to say that the Technology and Information Resources 
(TIR) staff very quickly updated and drastically improved the existing 
GROWL tour in response to this request. Please take a look at the new 
and improved tour at 
http://www.students.ucr.edu/paws/growl/default.html.

Please be aware that the campus administrative cycle and individual 
nature of each student's record make it impossible for us to create a 
tour that covers every possible scenario but this tool should give you 
a good sense of what services are generally available to our students 
via GROWL.
