Dear Students,

Our records indicate that UCR Admissions has received and processed your
official AP English score from College Board. Your score of ‘4' or '5’ on
one of the AP English exams both satisfies the UC Entry-Level Writing
Requirement and gives you transfer credit for Writing 10 (Academic Writing)
and Writing 20 (Persuasive Writing) at UCR. When you register for your
fall quarter classes during the Second Phase Registration Session later
this summer, you will be eligible to enroll in Writing 30 (WRIT 020 -
Analytical Writing). Please note that enrollment in that course is based
on the availability of seats. If there are no seats available at this
time, you will be able to enroll in the course in a future quarter.

As a reminder, students who have satisfied the ELWR are not required to
complete the Writing Placement Process. If you previously had signed up to
complete the WPP on an upcoming test date, you simply do not need to take
the exam on that date. Your name has automatically been removed from the
roster due to your AP English score. If you have already completed the
WPP, the results of your AP English exam will be honored over the results
of the WPP.

Warm regards,
